The most common and frequently undertaken type of inspection we offer, Management surveys are highly recommended for the majority of asbestos requirements
Management surveys will identify any accessible asbestos containing materials on your site and will help ensure a sufficient level of legal asbestos compliance is met, They are less physically invasive then refurbishment and demolition inspections but they are often the best option in most cases
However while management surveys are suitable for the majority of asbestos related issues a management survey is not adequate to provide reasonable and/or direct guidance prior to undertaking any physical works which would require an R&D survey to be carried out instead
-
As the name suggests, Demolition surveys are a considerably more intensive level of inspection and must be carried out prior to the demolitions of a property, structure or location
Due to the project being demolished these surveys are highly invasive and require extensive destruction to reach areas within the structure which are usually inaccessible
-
Prior to undertaking any form of physical works on a project dependent on the age of the construction it is required that the location has a refurbishment survey carried out first
Also known as an R&D survey these inspections are more intrusive into the material fabric and structure of the areas to be altered, R&D surveys are to keep people safe during works on your property and contribute to the projects overall risk assessment and method statement
-
After you have completed your asbestos survey you now have to decide on your next course of action, Any asbestos containing materials which are to remain in-situ must be managed and maintained
We recommend if possible to leave asbestos in place and make it safe instead of removal as this lowers the risk of exposure, If this simply isn't an option then removing the affected materials may be your best choice, We provide guidance and support throughout these processes. All identified asbestos containing materials must be inspected annually to ensure they remain in safe condition, We offer this service with all surveys undertaken by Eden safety consultants
-
If you or someone you know have discovered something you suspect to contain asbestos a targeted sampling visit could be a useful and cheaper alternative to surveying an entire site or premises
Unlike surveys a targeted sampling visit is solely for determining if a suspicious item(s) contains asbestos or not
-
If you already have identified asbestos containing materials on your property or you have an adequate existing asbestos survey/report we offer an annual re-inspection service to check the condition of the materials helping keep people safe and up-to-date with their asbestos compliance essentials, This service is a requirement for commercial property owners and/or duty holders and does not usually affect or include domestic tenants
We offer this service to all customers with Eden safety consultants
-
Accidents happen from time to time and we understand where hazardous materials are involved time is always a factor, When things do go wrong we offer an emergency call out service to help keep you safe and put things right again
*prices vary dependent on location and extent of inspection/contamination*
